Job summary

Blue Origin is seeking a senior government affairs and capture leader to drive USG opportunities, develop strategic capture plans, and craft competitive proposals. You will engage with senior leadership, external customers, and interdepartmental teams to align pursuits with national security objectives.

The role requires dealing with DoD and IC programs, travel up to 40%, and work on-site in Arlington, VA, with an active TS/SCI clearance preferred.”

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree required; at least one degree in a technical field.
• 7+ years of proven experience on U.S. Government space-related activities and programs.
• Excellent oral and written communication with technical and non-technical audiences.
• Ability to represent Blue Origin at conferences, meetings, and fora.
• Government contracting experience, including contract management, source selection, and proposal evaluations.
• Experience developing and implementing capture management strategies for U.S. Government programs.
• Excellent organizational skills for tracking customers, compiling proposals, and meeting deadlines.
• Active Top Secret (TS) / SCI clearance with SSBI and polygraph.

Responsibilities

• Lead development and implementation of capture strategy and capture teams for USG programs.
• Lead development and writing of comprehensive proposals, RFIs, and customer presentations.
• Track USG programs of interest including budget, Congressional actions, and technical requirements.
• Represent Blue Origin in national security forums and engage with government and industry customers.
• Assess competitor capabilities and inform strategy with Strategy and Corporate Development teams.
• Develop Blue Origin positions on issues and communicate to Congressional and USG offices.
• Translate complex technical matters into accessible information for broad audiences.
