Summary

The Senior Manager Logistics provides leadership for the Distribution Center and supervisors, who are directly responsible for turn key warehousing and transportation solutions. The incumbent will have and maintain high level interface directly with the customer on a regular basis.

Essential Functions

  1. Interface directly with the customer to ensure issues are resolved in a timely manner while maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction.
  2. Strategic operational planning and execution for the operation.
  3. Identify and/or solve operational issues with the account(s) by implementing continuous improvement and LEAN initiatives, to strengthen team unity, goals, productivity and results.
  4. Hire, supervise, develop and manage performance for employees and maintain a positive employee relations environment at assigned account(s).
  5. Maintain open and effective communications within the work group(s) and with other work groups within the organization. Review data, identify and implement necessary actions as required.
  6. May manage the profit and loss statements based on the complexity and scope of the organization.
  7. Lead a proactive safety program within the work group(s) consistent with company policy in order to provide a safe and secure work environment. Instruct and enforce location safety management plans, training and processes. Monitor the maintenance of equipment for assigned work group(s) by using checklists and observations as required.

Qualifications

  1. H.S. diploma/GED required
  2. Bachelor's degree in Business, Logistics, Supply Chain preferred
  3. Master's degree in Business, Logistics, Transportation or related field preferred
  4. Five (5) years or more relevant experience in supply chain, logistics, warehouse or industry related field required
  5. Five (5) years or more managing, leading and developing direct reports required
  6. Three (3) years or more Profit & Loss responsibility preferred
  7. One (1) year or more customer interaction preferred

Compensation Information :

The compensation offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate’s relevant experience; education, including relevant degrees or certifications; work location; market data/ranges; internal equity; internal salary ranges; etc. The position may also be eligible to receive an annual bonus, commission, and/or long-term incentive plan based on the level and/or type. Compensation ranges for the position are below:
