Job summary

Intuitive Surgical, Inc. seeks a Senior Manager for Supplier Engineering to lead a global team of supplier engineers, shaping supply-chain strategy and ensuring continuity for critical components aligned with the product roadmap and quality requirements.

You will partner with cross-functional teams (DE, ME, QE, PM, Production, GSC) to reduce risks, lower costs, and scale supply for large-scale programs, while applying Lean/Six Sigma and ensuring regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Proven ability to lead teams to solve complex technical and process problems.
• Proven ability to hire highly capable staff and grow and mentor staff.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including presentations to executives.
• Demonstrated project management skills, ability to influence and negotiate with stakeholders to deliver projects on time.
• Broad domain knowledge in plastics, metals, electronics, motion control; deep understanding of quality inputs.
• Outstanding analytical skills and good judgment.

Responsibilities

• Develop leadership capability through coaching, mentoring, succession planning, and organizational development.
• Lead a team of supplier engineers who deliver value to the business.
• Develop and execute a global supply-chain strategy and roadmap.
• Conduct market research to identify trends and select suppliers for agility and NPI.
• Drive supplier development and collaboration with adoption of new technologies.
• Partner with Supplier Quality to resolve audit findings and CAPAs.
