Job summary

Intuitive invites a seasoned leader to manage a team of Supplier Engineers focused on introducing new products into production and sustaining existing ones within the Multiport business unit. You will guide complex issue resolution across supplier quality, manufacturing processes, and business relations to sustain top performance.

You will develop long-term supplier strategies, evaluate suppliers, and ensure adherence to Intuitive quality standards while driving cost and quality improvements

Qualifications

• Proven ability to lead teams to solve complex technical and process problems.
• Proven ability to hire and grow staff; mentor and develop team.
• Proven ability to assess cost and capacity across supplier base; plan targets.
• Outstanding analytical skills with good judgment.
• Proficient in Six Sigma and Lean Manufacturing techniques; certification preferred.
• Proficient in pfMEA, process validation, root cause investigation, inspection, and test techniques.
• Knowledge of document management systems and ERP Systems, preferably Agile and SAP.
• Knowledge of 21 CFR part 820 and ISO 13485 preferred.
• Experience in a high-volume medical device environment helpful.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of supplier engineers in supplier selection, evaluation, development and improvement.
• Develop and implement a long-term supplier strategy for the product family.
• Ensure suppliers are compliant with the Intuitive quality system.
• Manage supplier relations to partner effectively.
• Support production part qualification deliverables: pFMEA, SPV, FAI, PCC analyses.
• Lead supplier change management projects using SCR process.
• Create metrics to measure supplier quality, cost, capacity and delivery.
• Drive continuous improvement in supplier production processes.
