Job summary

Intuitive Surgical is seeking a Senior Manager of Supplier Engineering to lead a team responsible for manufacturing process selection and supplier qualification for next-generation robotic platforms.

You will drive supplier engagement across motion control, electronics, and precision mechanics, partnering with Mechanical, Electrical, Quality, Sourcing, and Program Management to ensure successful NPI execution. Strong leadership and cross-functional influence are required.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a team of Supplier Engineers with direction and coaching.
• Own supplier engineering strategy for NPI programs.
• Drive supplier selection, qualification, development, and risk mitigation.
• Partner with ancillary teams on architecture and make-vs-buy decisions.
• Lead assessments of supplier capabilities, manufacturability, and quality systems.
• Drive design-for-manufacturability and supply-chain excellence across product development.
• Collaborate with Program Management to identify and mitigate risks.
