Job summary

Authority Brands Inc. seeks a Sr. Manager of Financial Compliance to lead franchisee audits and internal controls. You will design the audit strategy, build risk models, and oversee a team of auditors. Collaboration with operations and legal teams ensures remediation and policy alignment across brands.

You will manage delegation of authority, financial controls, and third-party audits while communicating findings to senior leadership. Travel up to 20% is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field.
• CPA strongly preferred.
• 8+ years of experience in audit, internal controls, or compliance.
• Demonstrated experience designing risk-based audit programs and sampling methodologies.
• Strong knowledge of internal controls frameworks (COSO) and delegation of authority policies.
• Experience reviewing franchise agreements, FDDs, and franchisee financial statements.
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to deliver findings to franchisees and senior leaders.
• Franchise or multi-unit industry experience strongly preferred.
• Ability to travel up to 20%.

Responsibilities

• Develop and own a system-wide franchisee audit strategy, combining risk-based targeting with random sampling.
• Build and maintain risk models using franchisee sales reporting trends and collections history.
• Define audit scopes and procedures covering sales reporting accuracy, royalty and fee remittance, and obligations.
• Establish an annual audit plan and report results, trends, and recoveries to leadership.
• Develop a team of auditors to execute audits consistently and to a defined standard.
• Review audit findings and ensure conclusions are well supported and communicated to franchisees.
• Partner with brand operations to address audit findings and remediation plans.
• Oversee the Delegation of Authority policy and financial controls framework.
