Job summary

SAWS is seeking a Manager-Financial Reporting to lead the preparation and communication of extensive financial information, including ACFR, quarterly and annual reports, and CIP disclosures. You will supervise staff, ensure GAAP/GASB compliance, and coordinate with auditors and regulatory stakeholders to deliver accurate, timely financial reporting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Economics, or related field from an institution accredited by a recognized accrediting agency.
• Six (6) years’ experience in financial reporting and/or financial analysis, governmental accounting, or related activities with three (3) years’ supervisory experience.
• Experience with financial software applications.
• Knowledge of GAAP, GASB, and financial reporting requirements.

Responsibilities

• Directs the preparation, review, and publication of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports including ACFR and CIP disclosures.
• Oversees external audits and coordinates with auditors and regulatory bodies.
• Develops financial dashboards and executive-level presentations for leadership and board.
• Leads cross-functional efforts to improve reporting consistency and data governance.
