Southwest Gas is seeking a Senior Manager, Financial Reporting to lead External and Internal Financial Reporting, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of complex, regulated operations. You will partner with senior leadership and manage a team of managers to drive governance and financial transparency.

Qualifications

• CPA or master’s degree in accounting or related field required, plus SEC reporting experience.
• Utility industry experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee quarterly and annual SEC filings (10-Q/10-K) accuracy and timeliness.
• Coordinate preparation of annual report financials for stockholders.
• Oversee resolutions of SEC comment letters and regulatory filings.
• Lead technical accounting research and positions on GAAP guidance.
• Oversee accounting for pensions, benefits, and HR-related accruals.
• Coordinate audit activity with external and internal auditors.
• Collaborate with HR on compensation accounting and disclosures.
• Provide accounting expertise to regulatory proceedings and corporate projects.
