Job summary

San Antonio Water System (SAWS) is seeking a Manager of Financial Reporting to lead the preparation, presentation, and communication of the organization’s financial information, including the ACFR, regulatory reports, and capital program disclosures.

Responsibilities include directing monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting processes, coordinating external audits, and developing dashboards and executive-level analyses for leadership and the Board.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business, accounting, finance, economics, or related field from an accredited institution.
• Six (6) years’ experience in financial reporting and/or financial analysis, governmental accounting, or related activities with three (3) years’ supervisory experience.
• CPA or CGFM certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Directs the preparation and publication of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, including the ACFR and related schedules.
• Coordinate external audits and serve as liaison with auditors and regulatory stakeholders.
• Develop and present executive-level reports and financial analyses for leadership and the Board.
