Job summary

Southwest Gas is seeking a Senior Manager/Financial Reporting to lead External and Internal Financial Reporting, partnering with senior leadership to ensure timely, accurate GAAP disclosures for a regulated utility.

You will oversee the accounting and reporting teams, coordinate SEC filings, FERC/PUCN reporting, and pension/benefits accounting, while driving controls, process improvements, and regulatory compliance in a highly visible role based in Las Vegas.

Qualifications

• At least 8 years of relevant work experience.
• Bachelor's degree in accounting from an accredited university.
• Knowledge of U.S. GAAP, SEC reporting, and SOX Section 404 requirements.

Responsibilities

• Ensure timely and accurate quarterly and annual SEC filings (10-Q/10-K).
• Oversee GAAP research and technical accounting solutions for complex transactions.
• Coordinate with external auditors and regulators on reporting matters.
• Lead preparation of reports for senior management and Board reviewers.
• Oversee pension/benefit accounting and HR-related accruals.
