Job summary

Addison Group is seeking a Senior Manager of Financial Reporting for an opportunity with one of our clients. This role will oversee financial reporting, support technical accounting matters, and ensure accurate, timely financial statements.

An active CPA and experience within a financial institution, bank, or government-sponsored enterprise (GSE) are required. The position includes responsibility for SEC/regulatory reporting, audits, and leading a reporting team.

Qualifications

• Active CPA required.
• Experience in financial institution, banking, or GSE preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field.
• 8+ years of progressive accounting and financial reporting experience with management responsibilities.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and financial statement disclosures.

Responsibilities

• Lead the preparation and review of financial statements, disclosures, and supporting schedules in accordance with U.S. GAAP.
• Oversee quarterly and annual external reporting, including SEC and regulatory filings.
• Research complex accounting matters and prepare technical accounting memoranda.
• Assess new accounting standards and lead implementation efforts.
• Partner with Accounting, Treasury, Risk, and other teams to ensure consistent reporting.
• Coordinate with external auditors and support financial statement audits.
• Maintain strong internal controls over financial reporting and improve reporting processes.
• Manage and develop financial reporting team members.
