Addison Group in Reston, VA is seeking a Senior Financial Reporting Manager to oversee the preparation and review of quarterly and annual reports, ensuring accuracy and compliance with U.S. GAAP and SEC requirements.

The role leads a financial reporting team, coordinates timelines, interfaces with external auditors, and partners with investor relations and other functions to strengthen controls and disclosure practices. A CPA and 10+ years of experience are required.

Competenze

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or equivalent required.
• CPA certification is required.
• 10+ years of accounting and financial reporting experience.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and SEC rules and regulations.
• Public accounting and/or relevant SEC, banking, or financial services reporting experience strongly preferred.
• Strong leadership experience, including staff development, coaching, and performance management.

• Support financial reporting systems, data collection processes, and related documentation.
• Partner with investor relations, capital markets, and other internal teams on reporting-related matters

Assignment Type: Permanent Hire

Compensation: $200-225K

Work Schedule: Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM–5:00 PM

Key Responsibilities

• Review financial data for completeness, accuracy, and reasonableness
• Manage reporting timelines and coordinate the distribution of reporting drafts to key stakeholders
• Research and review complex technical accounting and financial reporting matters
• Support disclosure requirements involving areas such as derivatives, fair value, credit losses, investments, and other complex accounting topics
• Maintain current knowledge of U.S. GAAP, SEC rules and regulations, and applicable industry reporting requirements

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or equivalent required
• CPA required
• 10+ years of relevant accounting and financial reporting experience
• Public accounting and/or relevant SEC, banking, or financial services reporting experience strongly preferred
• Strong technical knowledge of U.S. GAAP and SEC rules and regulations
• Demonstrated experience researching and resolving complex accounting and reporting issues
• Strong leadership experience, including staff development, coaching, and performance management
