Job summary

GitLab Inc. is seeking a Manager, Solutions Architects for the Enterprise team. You will lead a distributed group serving Enterprise customers in the East territory, guiding them to validate GitLab’s Enterprise Edition and drive successful adoption across the development lifecycle.

You will hire, coach, and retain a high-performing team, set clear expectations, and collaborate with Sales, Engineering, Product Management, and Marketing to align technical and commercial goals.

Qualifications

• Experience mentoring and developing technical team members.
• Experience leading technical pre-sales or IT professionals in enterprise settings.
• Ability to collaborate with managers and cross-functional partners on GTM plans.
• Strong presentation and communication skills for technical and business stakeholders.
• Knowledge of end-to-end software development lifecycle and modern practices.
• Understanding of CI/CD concepts and their impact on outcomes.
• Familiarity with cloud technologies and adoption patterns.

Responsibilities

• Lead a distributed team of intermediate and senior Solutions Architects in the East territory.
• Coach, mentor, and develop team members with regular feedback and career support.
• Grow and retain a high-performing team through thoughtful hiring and onboarding.
• Engage in key customer opportunities from discovery to technical validation and adoption.
• Drive quality of evaluations, demos, and proofs of concept aligned to customer needs.
• Partner with regional sales on territory strategy and account planning.
• Collaborate with Product, Engineering, and Marketing to influence roadmap and messaging.
• Define and track KPIs, communicating progress and risks to leadership.
