Job summary

CDM Smith is seeking a Senior Manager, Project Controls to lead enterprise project controls for a broad portfolio of municipal, industrial, and federal projects. The role focuses on governance, data, and analytics to deliver projects safely, profitably, and predictably.

The ideal candidate has deep experience in integrated design-build, advanced analytics, and digital transformation across enterprise platforms.

Qualifications

15 or more years of related experience.
Bachelor's degree required; PMP or PgM preferred.
Experience with integrated design-build and alternative delivery models.

Responsibilities

Define enterprise project controls strategy, standards, and governance; drive adoption across units.
Establish controls for design-build, CMAR, and other delivery models; align cost, schedule, risk and commercial controls.
Strengthen budgeting, earned value management, forecasting, variance analysis, and schedule analytics.
Develop leading indicators, dashboards, and actionable insights for margin, backlog, cash flow, and delivery risk.
Lead modernization of project controls platforms and workflows; promote automation and AI-enabled forecasting.
Establish scalable document management, data quality, and traceability for digital delivery.
Collaborate with leadership and teams to improve predictability and client outcomes.
Build and mentor a distributed team of schedulers, cost controllers, and document controllers.
