Job summary

Centene Corporation is seeking an Engineering Manager of Application Development to lead a team delivering enterprise software across the business. You will collaborate with data modelers, architects, business analysts, data stewards, SMEs, and stakeholders while working remotely within the United States with quarterly travel.

You will oversee large-scale projects, manage scope, schedule and budget, coordinate vendors and 3rd parties, drive risk mitigation, and ensure security and change-control

Qualifications

• Requires a Bachelor's degree and 6+ years of related experience, including prior management experience.
• Experience with Application Development; Applications Architecture, DevOps industry best practices.
• Knowledge of Agile Software Development.
• Hands-on background with databases and data governance, including graph model databases.
• Healthcare payer/provider operations or provider data management experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversees a team of Senior Application Development Engineers on large-scale enterprise projects.
• Leads project scope, schedule, and budget management with clear progress communication.
• Defines training and career development planning for developers.
• Manages 3rd party development teams and vendor performance to standards.
• Ensures security and change management policies are followed during transitions.
