Ashurst Perkins Coie US LLP is seeking a Senior Manager, Data Engineering to lead global teams and deliver scalable data platforms powering reporting, analytics, AI, and enterprise data products.

You will drive strategy, mentor engineers across regions, champion best practices in Databricks, data modeling, pipelines, and integration, and partner with business and technology leaders to align investments and foster innovation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or related discipline; relevant experience may substitute.
• 7+ years designing database solutions across on-prem and cloud, multiple geographic regions.
• 5+ years connecting to APIs and troubleshooting data connectivity.
• 3+ years managing people managers or team leads across multiple offices or regions.
• Advanced SQL, Python, and PySpark for data engineering and automation.

Responsibilities

• Define and drive the Firm’s global data engineering strategy, architecture, and roadmap.
• Lead, mentor, and empower high-performing global engineering teams.
• Champion hands‑on technical excellence across Databricks, dimensional modeling, pipelines, orchestration, and integration.
• Build trusted dimensional models, curated datasets, and enterprise data products.
• Establish reusable engineering standards for scalability, reliability, and consistency.
• Optimize platform performance, resilience, and cost.
• Serve as the technical authority for complex architecture and production challenges.
• Orchestrate cross-regional teams to deliver globally.
• Drive adoption of modern tools, standards, and engineering practices.
