Job summary

Ashurst Perkins Coie US LLP is seeking a Senior Manager, Data Engineering to lead global engineering teams in building a scalable, secure data platform powering reporting, analytics, AI, and enterprise data products. You will champion best practices, drive strategy, and partner with business leaders to align investments across regions.

The role requires 7+ years in data engineering, strong SQL/Python/PySpark skills, expertise in Databricks and data modeling, and a track record of delivering

Qualifications

• 7+ years designing database solutions in on‑prem and cloud environments across regions.
• Proven leadership of diverse, distributed teams and strong stakeholder communication.
• Strong SQL, Python, PySpark and data engineering automation experience.
• Deep knowledge of data modeling, ETL, warehousing, and scalable architectures.

Responsibilities

• Define and drive the Firm’s global data engineering strategy, architecture, and roadmap.
• Lead, mentor, and empower global engineering teams across time zones.
• Champion Databricks, dimensional modeling, pipelines, orchestration, and integration.
• Build trusted dimensional models, datasets, and enterprise data products.
• Establish reusable engineering standards to improve scalability and reliability.
• Optimize platform performance, resilience, and cost.
• Serve as the technical authority for complex architecture and production challenges.
• Orchestrate cross-regional delivery and adoption of modern tools and practices.
• Accelerate data onboarding and integration from diverse sources.
