Job summary

Ashurst Perkins Coie US LLP is seeking a Senior Manager of Data Engineering to lead global data teams in building scalable, enterprise-grade data platforms. You will guide architecture, standards, and delivery across regions to power reporting, analytics and AI initiatives.

Applicants should have extensive experience in SQL, Python, PySpark, and Databricks, with strong stakeholder communications and a track record of cross-regional leadership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS or related field; advanced degree a plus.
• 7+ years designing database solutions across on-prem and cloud, multi-region.
• 5+ years leading managers or team leads across offices or regions.
• Experience connecting to APIs and troubleshooting data connectivity issues.

Responsibilities

• Define and drive the firm's global data engineering strategy, architecture, and roadmap.
• Lead, mentor, and empower high-performing global engineering teams.
• Champion hands-on technical excellence across Databricks, dimensional modeling, pipelines, orchestration, and integration.
• Build trusted dimensional models, curated datasets, and enterprise data products.
• Establish reusable engineering standards for scalability and reliability.
• Optimize platform performance, resilience, and cost; act as technical authority.
