Ashurst Perkins Coie Group is seeking a Senior Manager, Data Engineering in Portland to lead global data engineering strategy and teams. You will champion scalable data platforms, dimensional models, and enterprise data products while collaborating with business and technology leaders to align strategy and investment.

You will oversee hands-on excellence across Databricks, ETL, data modeling, and cloud-based pipelines, with a focus on reliability, performance, and cost optimization.

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in computer science, engineering, or related discipline.
• 7+ years of progressive experience designing database solutions, both on-premises and cloud-based, across multiple geographic regions.
• 5+ years of progressive experience connecting to APIs and troubleshooting data connectivity issues.
• Advanced SQL, Python, and PySpark for data engineering and automation.
• Experience with Databricks and data warehousing.

• Define and drive the Firms global data engineering strategy, architecture, and roadmap.
• Lead, mentor, and empower high-performing global engineering teams.
• Champion hands-on technical excellence across Databricks, dimensional modeling, pipelines, orchestration, and integration.
• Build trusted dimensional models, curated datasets, and enterprise data products.
• Establish reusable engineering standards that elevate scalability, reliability, and consistency.
• Optimize platform performance, resilience, maintainability, and cost.
• Serve as the technical authority for complex architecture, integration, and production challenges.
• Orchestrate cross-regional teams, fostering collaboration and effective global delivery.
• Drive adoption of modern tools, standards, and engineering practices.
• Accelerate data onboarding and integration from diverse internal and external sources.
