Job summary

SB Energy, a SoftBank/Ares-backed leader in data center and power infrastructure, is seeking a Senior Manager of Data Center Controls Engineering. You will lead design, standardization, and delivery of controls across multiple campuses, ensuring scalable, reliable systems and full integration with BMS and EPMS.

You will mentor a growing team of controls engineers and drive best practices. The role requires 8–12+ years in controls engineering for critical facilities, with strong expertise in BMS,

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Controls Engineering or related field.
• PE license is preferred but not required.
• 8–12+ years in controls engineering for data centers or large facilities.
• Strong expertise in BMS, EPMS, SCADA and system integration.
• Experience leading projects and mentoring engineering teams.
• Knowledge of BACnet and Modbus communication protocols.

Responsibilities

• Define and maintain controls engineering standards and guidelines.
• Oversee design and integration of BMS, EPMS, and related systems.
• Ensure alignment of controls with electrical, mechanical and ops needs.
• Lead design reviews and ensure project milestone alignment.
• Coordinate with internal/external teams for seamless execution.
• Develop scalable control architectures for reliability and efficiency.
• Drive consistency in SOOs, point lists, alarms, and logic across sites.
• Support commissioning activities and issue resolution.
• Mentor and develop a high-performance controls engineering team.
