SB Energy, a leader in energy infrastructure, seeks a Mechanical Lead for data center construction. You will guide the mechanical team across design, construction, and commissioning, ensuring reliable cooling systems and seamless integration with other disciplines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• 5–10+ years in mechanical engineering, project engineering, or construction management.
• Strong knowledge of data center cooling, thermal management, and reliability best practices.
• Experience coordinating with external engineering firms.
• Experience delivering large-scale data center projects.
• Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage mechanical scope across project phases from concept to closeout.
• Interface between internal teams and external mechanical consultants.
• Coordinate cooling plant strategies, chilled water, CRAC/CRAH, and in-row cooling.
• Review design deliverables for standards, codes, and lifecycle.
• Act as Owner’s representative for mechanical systems during construction.
• Review submittals, RFIs, change orders, and field clarifications.
• Monitor safety, quality, schedule, and cost performance.
• Participate in site walks, inspections, and quality audits.
• Assist with mechanical cost estimating and budgeting.
• Support commissioning and turnover documentation.
