Job summary

Starbucks Coffee Company is seeking a senior manager, Corporate Communications to develop and execute enterprise-wide communications strategies in partnership with Investor Relations and Finance. You will lead day-to-day media engagement, build journalist relationships, and craft integrated plans leveraging earned media, digital storytelling, and data insights.

The role requires strong writing, storytelling, and the ability to drive proactive and reactive communications for a high-profile brand.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of progressive experience in corporate communications, public relations, financial communications, or related work.
• Exceptional storytelling and writing skills, with ability to translate complex business information into clear narratives.
• Experience executing proactive and reactive media strategies to support company priorities.
• Experience partnering with senior leaders and cross-functional teams on financial communications.
• Strong relationships with business, financial, trade, or national media and sound news judgment.
• Experience developing integrated, earned media-led programs with digital storytelling.
• Ability to lead complex projects and influence in a matrixed org; guiding agencies and teams.
• Bachelor’s degree in communications, journalism, PR, or related field or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Help develop and execute communications strategies in partnership with Investor Relations, Finance, and business teams.
• Drive day-to-day media engagement and proactive storytelling.
• Build relationships with journalists and identify opportunities to tell Starbucks story.
• Develop integrated communications plans using earned media, digital storytelling, and data-driven insights.
• Manage reactive communications with rapid messaging and guidance to protect the company’s reputation.
• Develop messaging, talking points, and media content for senior leaders.
