Job summary

Rush Street Interactive seeks a Senior Manager, Corporate Accounting in the Chicago area to lead monthly closes, consolidate results, and strengthen controls across GL, AP, and Treasury. You will influence cross‑functional partners, coach leaders, and anchor US GAAP decisions while guiding a hands‑on team through a period of growth.

The role requires CPA or advanced accounting degree, multi‑currency/intercompany experience, and comfort with AI/automation tools to scale the close process.

Qualifications

• BA/BS/MS in Accounting or CPA required.
• Proven leadership ability in high-stakes environments.
• US GAAP proficiency with ability to guide accounting conclusions.
• Comfort with AI/automation tools to scale close processes.
• Familiarity with multi-currency accounting and intercompany transactions.
• Experience leading and developing accounting teams.
• Strong organizational and project management skills.
• Ability to influence across teams without direct authority.
• ERP systems experience; NetSuite a plus.
• Public company experience preferred.
• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally.

Responsibilities

• Own the monthly close and deliver consolidated results for Accounting and Finance.
• Coach and develop leaders, building accountability and capability.
• Anchor technical accounting decisions on US GAAP for corporate accounting.
• Assess risk and strengthen controls; scale the control environment.
• Drive cross-functional alignment and manage special projects.
• Lead Corporate Accounting leaders overseeing GL, AP, and Treasury.
• Own GL accounting for cash, assets, liabilities, and accruals.
• Oversee procure-to-pay process with strong controls across vendors.
• Support treasury and liquidity forecasting and working capital planning.
• Coordinate global consolidation with SEC Reporting; intercompany and currency.
• Identify opportunities to automate processes and leverage AI.
