The role requires 8+ years of progressive accounting experience, a CPA preferred, and strong ERP/Excel skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
• CPA designation strongly preferred.
• 8+ years of progressive accounting experience with leadership or supervisory responsibilities.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP, financial reporting, internal controls, and accounting best practices.
• Experience managing month-end close, audits, and compliance requirements.
• Proven ability to lead accounting teams and develop staff.
• Advanced proficiency with ERP systems and Microsoft Excel.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead all aspects of the accounting function, including general ledger, payables, receivables, fixed assets, payroll accounting, and financial reporting.
• Direct month-, quarter-, and year-end close processes for timely, accurate results.
• Prepare and review financial statements per U.S. GAAP and company policies.
• Develop, implement and maintain internal controls and procedures.
• Oversee reconciliations, journal entries, variance analyses, and balance sheet integrity.
• Partner with Finance leadership on budgeting, forecasting, cash flow, and planning.
• Coordinate external audits, tax filings, and regulatory compliance.

We are seeking an experienced and strategic Accounting Controller to lead our accounting operations and ensure the integrity of financial reporting. The Controller will oversee the month-end close process, financial statement preparation, internal controls, compliance, and day-to-day accounting activities while partnering with leadership to support business objectives and drive operational excellence. W2 Hourly Rate: $65-90/hr DOE(project based consulting engagement)

What you will work on

• Lead all aspects of the accounting function, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, fixed assets, payroll accounting, and financial reporting.
• Direct the monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes to ensure timely and accurate financial results.
• Prepare and review financial statements in accordance with U.S. GAAP and company policies.
• Develop, implement, and maintain effective internal controls and accounting procedures.
• Oversee account reconciliations, journal entries, variance analyses, and balance sheet integrity.
• Partner with Finance leadership on budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, and strategic planning initiatives.
• Coordinate and manage external audits, tax filings, and regulatory compliance requirements.
• Provide technical accounting guidance and support for complex transactions and new business initiatives.
• Continuously assess and improve accounting processes, systems, and reporting capabilities to enhance efficiency and scalability.
• Mentor, develop, and lead a high‑performing accounting team while fostering a culture of collaboration and accountability.
• Support ERP implementations, system enhancements, and other process improvement initiatives as needed.
• Collaborate with business leaders across departments to provide financial insights and drive informed decision‑making.

What you will bring
