Job summary

SpaceX is seeking a Sr. Manager to lead the sourcing strategy for datacenter compute infrastructure, including GPUs, CPUs, storage, servers, and ODM/CM relationships.

You will build and mentor a team, define multi-year roadmaps with engineering, and secure supply for SpaceXAI’s large-scale AI training clusters. The role requires 10+ years in global supply chain/procurement with compute hardware, 4+ years of people leadership, and a track record delivering in hyperscale environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; 10+ years in global supply chain/procurement with compute hardware focus
• 4+ years of people management experience
• 4+ years building, leading, and managing sourcing teams

Responsibilities

• Build, lead, and mentor a high-performing sourcing team for datacenter compute infrastructure
• Define commodity strategies and multi-year roadmaps with engineering and platform teams
• Oversee end-to-end sourcing, supplier qualification, and multi-sourcing for aggressive build schedules
• Coordinate demand across SpaceXAI companies and secure preferential allocation and capacity
• Negotiate major agreements focusing on pricing, volume, tech access, and reliable delivery
• Manage ODM/CM relationships and drive improvements in server and rack designs, cost, and delivery
• Monitor supply chain risks and implement mitigation plans for critical compute components
• Drive cost reduction through should-cost modeling and long-term agreements while maintaining quality
• Track KPIs and provide updates to senior leadership
• Foster cross-functional collaboration and strong supply chain practices across the organization
