Job summary

SpaceX is seeking a Manager of Supply Chain for Datacenter Compute Infrastructure (Starlink) to lead a team responsible for GPU/accelerators, CPUs, storage, and server/rack components for large-scale AI training clusters.

The role defines commodity strategies, aligns roadmaps with engineering and vendors, and secures supply while optimizing cost, quality, speed, and resilience. A proven people leader with compute hardware sourcing expertise is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and 8+ years in supply chain or 12+ years in lieu of degree.
• 6+ years global supply chain, procurement, or commodity management focused on compute hardware.
• 3+ years of people management.
• 3+ years building, leading, and managing sourcing teams.

Responsibilities

• Build, lead, and mentor a sourcing team focused on GPUs, CPUs, storage, ODM/CM, servers, and racks.
• Define commodity strategies and multi-year roadmaps with engineering, architecture, and platform teams.
• Oversee end-to-end sourcing, supplier qualification, multi-sourcing, and performance management.
• Orchestrate demand across SpaceXAI companies and align roadmaps with vendors for capacity.
• Negotiate major agreements on pricing, volume, technology access, and delivery.
• Manage ODM/CM relationships and drive improvements in server and rack designs.
• Monitor supply chain risks and implement mitigation plans.
• Drive cost reduction via should-cost modeling and long-term agreements.
• Track team and category KPIs and report to senior leadership.
• Foster cross-functional collaboration and promote effective supply chain practices.
