Job summary

SpaceX seeks a leader to build and manage the sourcing team for datacenter compute infrastructure, including GPUs, CPUs, storage, and server components to support SpaceXAI large-scale AI training clusters. The role defines commodity strategies, secures supply, and aligns roadmaps with engineering and vendors to meet aggressive timelines.

The ideal candidate has deep compute hardware sourcing expertise and a proven track record delivering results in hyperscale AI infrastructure.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree or 12+ years in compute hardware sourcing (GPUs/CPUs/storage/servers).
• 6+ years in global supply chain, procurement, or commodity management focused on compute hardware.
• 3+ years of people management and leading sourcing teams.

Responsibilities

• Build, lead, and mentor a sourcing team for GPUs, CPUs, storage, ODM/CM, servers, and racks.
• Define multi-year roadmaps in partnership with engineering and platform teams.
• Oversee end-to-end sourcing, supplier qualification, and multi-sourcing for schedules.
• Align internal roadmaps with vendors to secure capacity and preferential allocation.
• Negotiate major agreements on pricing, volume, and delivery.
• Manage ODM/CM relationships and drive improvements in server designs and cost.
• Monitor supply risks and implement mitigation plans for critical components.
• Track KPIs and report to senior leadership.
• Promote cross-functional supply chain practices.
