Job summary

Colonial Group's 601-Recreation Services seeks a Recreation Manager to plan, organize, supervise and direct a wide range of educational and recreational programs across clubhouses and community facilities.

The role includes budget oversight, staff development, coordinating with residents and other departments, and ensuring safe, engaging activities for mature adults. A California driver's license is preferred where applicable.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited four year college with Recreation Administration major.
• Significant supervisory experience in adult recreation programming.
• Knowledge of PC and applicable software programs.
• Knowledge of safety precautions and occupational hazards.
• Ability to develop and execute comprehensive community recreation programs.
• Ability to work with mature adults and manage contracts.

Responsibilities

• Plans, organizes and directs recreation activities in clubhouses and facilities.
• Supervises staff directly or through supervisors and evaluates performance.
• Administers annual budgets and schedules training and safety programs.
• Co-chairs councils and serves on advisory committees as assigned.
• Coordinates staffing with instructors and community partners.
