Qualifications

• Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist or qualified activities professional eligible for certification.
• Two years of experience in a social or recreational program within the last 5 years, one of which was a full-time therapeutic activities program.
• Qualified occupational therapist or occupational therapy assistant; OR
• Has satisfactorily completed a training course approved by the state.

Responsibilities

• Plans daily individual and group activities, including evenings and weekends.
• Coordinates outings, events, and volunteer involvement.
• Prepares monthly calendars and ensures large print accessibility.
• Maintains participation records and coordinates with other departments.
• Manages the Volunteer Program and conducts recruitment and trainings.
• Assists with budget preparation and supply purchases; participates in fundraising.
