The role emphasizes program leadership, staff development, and strict safety standards across facilities and events, with responsibilities spanning budgeting and operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Physical Education or sports-related field is required.
• Experience in coaching, arranging sport events and rec activities, supervising recreational staff.
• Must have a driver's license with a good driving record.
• CPR/First Aid certification required.

Responsibilities

• Program Leadership: Design and schedule inclusive recreation activities based on student interest surveys; teach weekly student leadership courses.
• Staff Supervision: Train, schedule, and evaluate the recreation staff.
• Student Skill-Building: Use activities to promote physical health, teamwork, communication, and work-readiness skills.
• Safety & Compliance: Oversee student safety across all facilities and events, enforcing water safety guidelines and lifeguard standards.
• Operations & Budget: Manage equipment inventory, track the department budget, and maintain recreation areas.
