Job summary

DeWinter Group in South San Francisco seeks a Senior Manager, SEC Reporting & Technical Accounting to lead quarterly and annual filings, develop technical accounting memos, and strengthen SOX controls in a fast-growing biotech environment.

You'll collaborate with external auditors and cross-functional teams while exploring automation and AI-enabled improvements to reporting and processes, with a base salary of $172k–$210k plus bonus and equity.

Qualifications

• 8+ years accounting experience
• Biotechnology or pharmaceutical industry experience preferred
• Big Four public accounting experience preferred
• Strong SEC reporting & technical accounting background
• CPA preferred
• SOX & internal controls understanding
• Experience with external auditors & cross-functional partners
• Interest in automation & AI for accounting

Responsibilities

• Lead preparation and coordination of quarterly and annual SEC filings (Form 10-Q, 10-K, earnings releases)
• Research complex technical accounting matters and prepare memoranda
• Support accounting for licensing, collaboration, stock-based compensation, leases, revenue recognition
• Develop and maintain SOX compliance and internal controls
• Collaborate with external auditors and internal stakeholders
• Identify opportunities to streamline reporting through technology/automation/AI
• Support analyses related to strategic transactions
