KBW Financial Staffing & Recruiting partners with a publicly traded life sciences company to fill a Manager, SEC & Technical Accounting role. The position blends SEC reporting, technical accounting, and hands-on financial operations across global teams.

The ideal candidate has strong SEC and GAAP expertise, 4–8 years in public accounting or corporate accounting, and CPA progress. Hybrid schedule in the Boston area with opportunities to influence policy, controls, and quarterly filings.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
• Public accounting experience required
• 4–8 years of relevant public or corporate accounting experience
• Strong SEC reporting and technical accounting experience
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP and/or IFRS
• CPA or progress toward CPA preferred
• Experience with SOX 404 and internal controls
• Life sciences experience preferred
• Compensation: $130,000 - $160,000 plus bonus & Equity

Responsibilities

• Prepare quarterly and annual SEC filings
• Support global consolidations and consolidated financial statements
• Assist with monthly and quarterly close, reconciliations, and financial analysis
• Prepare technical accounting memos and research complex accounting matters
• Support implementation of new accounting standards and revenue recognition policies
• Maintain accounting policies, procedures, and SOX internal controls
• Coordinate with external auditors on quarterly reviews and annual audits
• Partner with international and cross-functional teams on reporting and accounting initiatives
• Support process improvements and special projects

KBW has teamed up with a publicly traded, life sciences seeking a Manager, SEC & Technical Accounting to support financial reporting, technical accounting, and global finance operations.

This role offers a strong mix of SEC reporting, technical accounting, and hands-on operational responsibilities. Candidates ranging from strong Senior-level professionals ready to step up to experienced Managers will be considered.

Responsibilities

• Prepare quarterly and annual SEC filings
