Job summary

Wabtec is seeking a Senior Shared Services Manager to lead a multidisciplinary team of software and test engineers in developing tools, simulators, automation frameworks and AI-driven solutions within TP&A. You will drive validation, enhance software efficiency, and oversee multiple critical projects to meet schedule, budget, and quality goals.

You will mentor team members, foster collaboration, and champion continuous improvement across the organization, aligning with Wabtec’s vision and values.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Information Technology or related field.
• 5-7 years of professional software development, software validation, and automation tools experience.
• 5+ years leading software and/or test engineering teams with strategic planning and execution.
• Proven experience designing, implementing, and integrating AI-based solutions.
• Background with embedded systems and related technologies.
• Strong influence, decision-making and consensus-building abilities.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership for assigned products and manage a team to ensure delivery.
• Develop near- and long-term strategies to improve delivery cycles, quality, and efficiency.
• Define and implement AI-driven strategies to boost productivity and quality across TP&A products.
• Demonstrate engineering leadership with modern methodologies, tools, and best practices.
• Communicate complex topics clearly to customers and executives; contribute to strategy.
• Evaluate tools and approaches to ensure teams have necessary capabilities.
• Lead talent activities including resource planning, hiring, and coaching.
• Track progress with metrics like burndown, coverage, and performance indicators.
• Partner with product management and commercial teams to drive efficiency.
• Challenge processes and maintain high standards for quality and customer satisfaction.
• Represent the engineering team in cross-functional updates and leadership forums.
