Job summary

Manatt, Phelps & Phillips, LLP is seeking a Pricing and Matter Analytics Sr. Manager to oversee budgeting, pricing and margin analysis across firm engagements. The role collaborates with firm management to shape pricing strategy and ensures data integrity in financial systems.

You will lead the Pricing Team, develop budget templates, review engagements for profitability, and generate monthly client-level metrics while aligning with practice management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Finance, or related field.
• MBA a plus.
• Minimum of 5 years of legal pricing experience.
• Advanced Excel skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Professional Services Firm and Aderant experience a plus.
• Excellent analytical and interpersonal skills with ability to manage multiple projects.

Responsibilities

• Work with Sr. Director of Business Analytics to research pricing trends and develop pricing strategies for the firm.
• Manage the Pricing Team, including one Pricing Analyst, in daily pricing operations.
• Create budget templates for specific types of legal and consulting work.
• Research industry trends and use peer data to adjust pricing processes.
• Support partners with profitable, sustainable pricing solutions.
• Provide analysis on client financials to optimize profitability and predictability.
