Job summary

Milbank LLP is seeking a Sr. Pricing Analyst to support attorneys through pricing arrangements and client budgets. You will design analytical tools, monitor budgets, and assess the financial impact of pricing arrangements across matters.

In this role you will build financial models, analyze revenue and profitability, prepare fee estimates, and guide pricing strategy with cross‑functional teams. Strong Excel/BI skills and law‑firm pricing experience are required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of pricing and budgeting experience in a professional services environment
• 5+ years post Bachelor's Degree in analytical field (accounting/finance/economics)
• Exposure to pricing decisions and fee negotiations is a plus
• Experience with law firm technology (3E/Iridium) and BI tools (PowerBI/Tableau)
• Experience with pricing structuring, portfolio management, and financial modelling
• Understanding of litigation/arbitration matter lifecycles and costs
• Proficient in Excel/Access and relational databases

Responsibilities

• Develop financial models and analytics to support pricing proposals
• Compile/analyze data on revenue, realization, and profitability
• Prepare fee estimates and pricing approaches for partners
• Guide rates/pricing strategy with management groups and attorneys
• Provide ad-hoc training on profitability of alternative fee arrangements
• Contribute to matter budgets with management team
• Develop/report internal pricing metrics to show impact
• Maintain pricing databases from historical data
• Document best practices for pricing and profitability
• Collaborate with Revenue and Finance to extract financial data
• Review outside counsel guidelines for new matters to ensure tracking
