Job summary

Manatt, Phelps & Phillips, LLP invites applications for a Pricing and Matter Analytics Sr. Manager role. You will oversee budgeting and pricing, monitor actuals vs budget, and ensure data integrity in financial systems.

Collaborate with firm management to shape pricing strategy and processes, guiding engagements toward profitability. You will lead the Pricing Team, drive pricing analytics, and support RFP responses with data-driven insights.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, or related field required.
• MBA a plus.
• Minimum of 5 years of legal pricing experience.
• Advanced Excel skills; proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Experience with Professional Services firms and Aderant is a plus.
• Excellent verbal and written communication; ability to work with end users, peers and managers.
• Strong analytical skills; ability to organize and prioritize multiple projects.

Responsibilities

• Research pricing trends and develop pricing strategies and procedures for the firm, focusing on AI impact on legal work.
• Manage Pricing Team including one Pricing Analyst.
• Create budget templates for various types of legal work using historical data.
• Analyze industry trends to adjust pricing processes; provide pricing solutions for client RFPs.
• Produce monthly client matter dashboards and reporting; support forecasts and presentations.
