Job summary

WEX is seeking a Sr. Manager of Software Engineering to lead the Beyond Fuel and Expense Management initiative within WEX Mobility Engineering. You will oversee engineering teams across the United States and India to design, build, and scale payment and expense management capabilities.

You will collaborate with Product, Design, and business stakeholders to define the technical strategy, drive AI adoption, and ensure security, reliability, and scalability across our platforms.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Software Engineering.
• 8+ years of software engineering and 4+ years in engineering management.
• Experience with large-scale distributed systems and AI-enabled solutions.
• Strong security/compliance knowledge in cloud environments.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Beyond Fuel and Expense Management initiative for WEX Mobility Engineering.
• Develop long-term strategy, roadmap, and OKRs with product and commercial teams.
• Own architecture across mobile and backend services; drive AI-DLC initiatives.
• Foster cross-team collaboration and measurable productivity with leadership.
