Job summary

WEX Inc. is seeking a Sr. Manager of Software Engineering to lead the Beyond Fuel and Expense Management initiative within WEX Mobility Engineering. You will guide teams across the United States and India to design, build, and scale payment and expense management capabilities for fleet customers.

You will drive AI adoption across the software lifecycle, ensure security and reliability, and partner with product and commercial teams to execute a strategic roadmap with measurable outcomes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Software Engineering.
• 8+ years of software engineering with 4+ years in engineering management.
• Experience building and scaling large distributed systems.
• Experience automating scaffolding code, tests, and AI-driven development.
• Experience with AI-DLC and AI-first product capabilities.
• Strong security/compliance knowledge in cloud environments.
• Excellent leadership and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead engineering teams across the US and India to design, build, and scale payment and expense management capabilities.
• Define technical strategy and deliver AI-enabled solutions for fleet payments and spend management.
• Drive adoption of AI throughout the SDLC to improve productivity and reliability.
• Manage roadmaps, OKRs, and collaboration with product and commercial teams.
• Hire, grow, and develop high-performing engineers and foster a culture of innovation.
