Job summary

WEX Inc. is seeking a Senior Manager of Software Engineering to lead the Beyond Fuel and Expense Management initiative within WEX Mobility Engineering.

You will guide engineering teams across the US and India to design, build, and scale payment and expense management solutions for fleet operators. You will drive AI adoption in the software lifecycle, ensuring security, reliability, and scalability while aligning with product and business stakeholders.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in software engineering with 4+ years in engineering management.
• Experience building large-scale distributed systems.
• Experience automating scaffolding, unit tests, and integration tests with AI-driven approaches.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute a long-term vision and roadmap for the Beyond Fuel and Expense Management initiative.
• Own systems design across mobile apps and backend microservices; drive AI-DLC initiatives.
• Hire, mentor, and coach engineers; grow high-performing teams.
• Collaborate with product, design, and sales to align roadmaps and priorities.
