Job summary

Accenture is seeking a senior malware reverse engineer to lead analysis of sophisticated threats across Windows and Linux, translating findings into detections for security operations. You will reverse engineer complex malware, unpacking samples to uncover behavior, infrastructure, and adversary tradecraft.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in malware reverse engineering, exploit analysis, or related cyber analysis roles.
• 8+ years static and dynamic malware analysis on Windows and Linux.
• 6+ years using IDA Pro, Ghidra and 3+ years with debugging tools like x64dbg or Binary Ninja.
• 4+ years working with low-level code (assembly), and 5+ years developing tooling in C/C++/Python.
• 4+ years extracting C2 protocols, and mapping adversary infrastructure.
• 4+ years tracking malware behaviors and TTPs of major threat actors.
• 4+ years creating detection content (YARA/Snort/Sigma) for SOC teams.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience (min 12 years).

Responsibilities

• Reverse engineer complex malware and unpack samples to reveal behavior and C2 logic.
• Translate findings into high-fidelity detection logic for security operations.
• Support incident response during critical events and provide technical QC.
• Mentor senior analysts and raise engineering depth of the team.
• Deliver concise risk-based communications to leadership when escalation is needed.
