Job summary

World Vision is seeking an Area Director to lead major donor fundraising efforts from a remote location. The role focuses on developing long-term relationships with individuals and foundations capable of $25,000 or more in support, and coordinating regional fundraising for Major Gifts, National Accounts, and Gift Planning.

You will report to the Regional Director, Major Donor Ministries. Travel up to 50% within the U.S.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent (eight years) with fundraising or sales experience.
• Demonstrated ability to manage major accounts.
• Ability to raise significant donor support and manage donor relationships.

Responsibilities

• Raise a minimum of $1,500,000 each fiscal year through private funding, multi-year commitments, and gift planning.
• Develop and implement account management strategies for assigned donor accounts.
• Build long-term relationships with donors and connect donor interests with WV mission.
• Coordinate regional fundraising efforts for Major Gifts, National Accounts and Gift Planning.
• Represent WVUS in speaking engagements and donor attraction activities.
