Job summary

YoungArts seeks a Director of Fundraising to lead major gifts, reporting to the Vice President, Advancement. You will manage one team member, cultivate high-net-worth donors nationwide, and secure $1M annually to support programs and operations.

The role blends remote/hybrid work with travel to key markets across the country. The ideal candidate has 8+ years in arts fundraising, exceptional relationship skills, and strong grant writing and budgeting capabilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or the equivalent in education and experience.
• 8+ years of professional fundraising experience in arts and culture.
• Experience managing high-performing teams and strategic fundraising.
• Grant writing and budget management experience.
• Excellent written and verbal communication with attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Secure $1M in contributed revenue annually.
• Proactively manage and grow a donor portfolio nationwide.
• Identify, cultivate, solicit and steward gifts from funders nationwide.
• Align fundraising efforts with YoungArts’ mission and goals across teams.
• Collaborate to create annual plans for sustaining major gifts portfolio.
• Travel as needed to engage donors and represent YoungArts.
