Job summary

Florida State University’s Division of University Advancement seeks a Director of Development for Anne Spencer Daves College of Education, Health, and Human Sciences. The role leads a donor program, identifying, cultivating and soliciting gifts at the $100,000+ level and building a portfolio of high-capacity prospects.

Qualifications

• Master's degree and four years of experience in a related advancement field or a Bachelor's degree and six years of related experience.
• Higher education can substitute for experience at a comparable rate.

Responsibilities

• Strategically execute a personal solicitation program resulting in philanthropic support by maximizing identification, cultivation, solicitation and stewardship of prospects for gifts at the $100,000 and up level for Anne’s College.
• Develops, coordinates, and executes an annual major gift plan to meet monetary goals and metrics.
• Identifies, qualifies and sustains a donor prospect portfolio with individuals who have a giving capacity of $500,000 or more.
• Travels frequently to secure gifts and pledges from alumni, parents, faculty, staff, and friends of FSU.
