Florida State University is seeking a Senior Director of Development for the Division of Student Affairs in Tallahassee. This leader will design and execute a high-impact solicitation program, cultivating major donors and stewarding gifts at the $100k level and above.

The role oversees strategic fundraising development, collaborates with university leadership, and builds a strong donor pipeline across a portfolio including $1M+ prospects. Travel and senior-level collaboration are essential.

Qualifications

Master's degree with four years in advancement, or Bachelor's with six years; higher ed can substitute.
Valid Florida Driver's License or ability to obtain upon hire.

Responsibilities

Designs and executes a major gift solicitation program (>$100k) and manages a donor portfolio.
Oversees fundraising plans with the VP and Executive Director, coordinating with stakeholders.
Prepares prospect materials for university leadership and senior administration as appropriate.
Coordinates with divisions on planned giving, corporate and foundation giving.
Ensures confidentiality and travels to meet alumni, parents, faculty, staff and friends of FSU.
Maintains donor stewardship and oversees staff development and reporting.
