Job summary

Chestnut Health Systems in Madison, IL seeks a senior maintenance worker to handle carpentry, plumbing, electrical tasks and general facilities duties. The role is full-time with daytime hours and occasional evenings. Anticipated pay is $20–$21 per hour, depending on experience and local market conditions.

Requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent and 3 years of building maintenance in at least two trades. Leadership experience is preferred and valid driver’s license is required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent plus 3 years of building maintenance experience in at least two of the following: carpentry, plumbing, electrical, or mechanical systems.
• Two years’ experience in a lead role is preferred.
• Good communication and customer service skills.
• Able to lift and push a minimum of 50 pounds; climb ladders; flexible hours.
• Basic computer skills including MS Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Must have valid driver's license, private auto insurance, and be insurable.

The anticipated starting pay for new hires for this position is between $20.00 - $21.00 an hour.

Hours are primarily daytime, but some evening and weekend hours may be required. This full-time position will be based in our Madison, IL location.
