Job summary

AbbVie in North Chicago is seeking an experienced Senior Maintenance Technician to independently perform senior level technical support within the maintenance department. This is a 1st shift role, eight hours per day.

You will train lower-level Technicians on more advanced tasks, maintain department assets for reliable equipment and quality standards, and assist in root cause investigation and reliability-centered maintenance analysis while collaborating with cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• HS diploma with 10+ yrs. experience or relevant certificate with 5+ yrs. experience or associates technical degree with 3+ yrs. experience
• CMRT (Certified Maintenance and Reliability Technician) or equivalent accreditation desired
• Plumbing license
• Knowledge and ability to use advanced tools (machine tools, diagnostic tools, predictive tools)
• Intermediate computer skills (MS Windows)

• Assists in root cause investigation and reliability centered maintenance analysis
• Capable of training others on tasks
• Is proficient in multiple skilled trade disciplines and creates or edits maintenance job plans
• Intermediate computer skills (MS Windows)
• Fully proficient in their core function, performing advanced level tasks
• Assist cross functional teams outside of the maintenance organization
• Supports continuous improvement projects and safety initiatives within the maintenance organization and/or the site
• Understands and follows all safety and GMP regulations
• Assist cross functional teams outside of the maintenance organization
