Job summary

City of Edinburg in Edinburg, TX is seeking a Senior Maintenance Worker to maintain and repair street signs and pavement markings across the city. The role involves removing and replacing signs and assisting with traffic hardware during repairs and events. You should have a high school diploma or GED, and a valid Texas Class C driver’s license.

Qualifications

• High school diploma, GED or equivalency.
• Education Preference: Community college, vocational, business, technical, or correspondence school certifications are likely sources.
• Educational Substitute: Related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• No experience required.
• Experience Preference: One (1) year of experience performing tasks closely related to job description.
• Bilingual English/Spanish Preferred.
• Must have a current valid class "C" driver's license from the Texas Department of Public Safety.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair street signs and pavement markings throughout the city.
• Assist in setup of traffic hardware for signal repairs, detours and events.
• Collaborate with other divisions and support teams as needed.
