Job summary

DHR Health in Edinburg, TX is seeking a Technician I for a full-time day shift in Engineering Maintenance to assist with equipment management and general maintenance across offsite locations as assigned.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, a valid driver's license, strong reading and writing skills, and the ability to communicate with nursing, administration, and physicians.

Qualifications

• High School/GED preferred.
• Valid Driver's License required.
• Ability to read, write and follow written and oral instructions.
• Manual dexterity to handle tools.
• Must be able to be sensitive to cultural and bilingual issues.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to read, write and speak English
• Ability to communicate clearly and concisely with all levels of nursing, administration, and physicians

Responsibilities

• Assists in equipment management programs and general maintenance.
• Will be responsible for Doctors Hospital at Renaissance offsite locations and/or areas assigned by the Director of Engineering or other management.
• Promotes the facility mission, vision and values.
• Works shifts as needed/assigned - variable.
• Performs painting, spackling, textures, and related wall/room maintenance tasks.
• Maintains and documents a complete record system of all patient rooms and repairs.
• Performs carpentry and drywall repairs as needed.
• Organizes spare parts and supply inventory.
• Makes minor repairs to equipment and fixtures and cleans equipment.
• Stays aware of surroundings and reports safety concerns.
• Adheres to privacy and security guidelines.
• Assists in other areas of Engineering as directed.
