Job summary

DHR Health in Edinburg, TX seeks a Technician I for FT Days in Engineering Maintenance. The role supports equipment management and general facility upkeep across offsite locations as assigned by leadership.

Responsibilities include painting, carpentry, minor repairs, inventory control, and adherence to safety policies. Requires High School/GED, valid driver's license, and strong written/spoken English.

Qualifications

• High School/GED preferred with valid driver’s license.
• Must read, write and follow written and oral instructions.
• Ability to read, write and speak English; communicate with nursing, admin and physicians.

Responsibilities

• Promotes the facility mission, vision and values in service delivery.
• Works shifts as needed/assigned - variable.
• Painting, spackling, textures, repairs to walls, ceilings, floors and related areas.
• Maintains and documents a record system of patient rooms and painting PMs.
• Performs carpentry – drywall – steel framing – repairs or projects.
• Organizes spare parts and supplies inventory.
• Makes minor repairs to equipment and fixtures and cleans equipment.
• Follows OSHA/TDH/JCaho guidelines.
• Assists in other Engineering areas as directed.
