Job summary

Comfort Research is seeking a Senior Maintenance Technician (Facilities & Operations) in North Carolina to lead maintenance across facility and production systems. You will drive equipment reliability, mentor the team, and collaborate with engineering to implement long-term improvements for safety and efficiency.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of experience in industrial and facilities maintenance.
• Experience with mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and control systems.
• Background in HVAC, chillers, power distribution, plumbing.
• Certified Master Electrician, Licensed Boiler Technician, Certified Welder.
• Proven ability to lead technical projects and mentor staff.
• Ability to interpret schematics, blueprints, and manuals.
• Experience with continuous improvement and reliability initiatives.
• Strong project management and vendor coordination.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate Comfort Research core values in daily actions and tasks.
• Serve as SME for troubleshooting complex mechanical, electrical, and programmatic issues.
• Lead advanced preventive and predictive maintenance programs to maximize uptime.
• Partner with engineers to implement process and equipment improvements.
• Guide machine installation, commissioning, and system upgrades.
• Oversee facility maintenance including HVAC, electrical distribution, water, and compressed air.
• Lead root cause analysis for major equipment or facility failures and implement corrective actions.
• Develop technical documentation and training materials.
• Coordinate major repair projects, including vendor management and oversight.
• Track maintenance data to drive reliability and efficiency initiatives.
• Ensure adherence to LOTO, OSHA, NFPA, and regulatory requirements.
• Provide after-hours technical support and coordinate emergencies.
